Stupid stupid STUPID!!!

Mike held nothing back as he blasted trees out of the ground. He was beyond angry. He wanted to hurt something and make it hurt so bad he would forget how much he was hurting. The one time he tried to do things subtly it just blows up in his damn face. Every time he tried to be human it never worked for him.

"Someone up there hates me. Swear to God, or whoever the hell is up there!" He gave one more blast into the air to prove his point.

Sulking against a tree he didn't blast, Michael held his head in his hands and cried. He clenched his fist and let his dark power shine. Fine. If he cant be nice about it, he'll just do things the old fashion way.

"Kidnap the old man and drain him dry. Sounds good to me." his laughter was cold enough to send shivers up the spines of the most wicked.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"He was lying. Thats gotta be it." Manny said for all the other Plumber kids to hear. The group was gathered in the backyard on orders from Moonie to give her and Max some privacy.
She also requested that they ignore any yelling and the sound of objects exploding.
"Well, if he was lying; why lie about being his son?" Helen pointed out.
"To play on Maxs' good nature. Its just like when he decided to stay in the Null Void instead of going home." Pierce said sagely. "Thats the kind of person he is. He wont turn his back on someone who needs him."
"Unless they messed with his grand kids, that is." Alan inserted. Everyone had to agree with that.
"Wait, wait. Think about it for a second. If he was going to lie about that all along, why just blurt it out?" Cooper said as he stood up from his lawn chair and paced. "Darkstar would have just come out and said it. That would have been a little reverse Star Wars, really." he gave a little laugh at that. "It makes sense."
"Okay, but I seriously doubt the big guys gonna help Dr. Doom Jr. now that he knows how he almost killed Ben and Gwen." Manny said with a furrowed brow. "The kids just a bad seed. Sucking folks dry and not caring who's next."
"Manny, thats unfair and you know it." Helen said, slugging the Tertamand boy in one of his arms. "Please don't jump all over me for this, but I don't think Michael can really help himself."
"Are you kidding, Helen?" Cooper said. "The kids a vampire."
"Exactly. Why does a vampire drink blood? Tell me."
"Uh, to survive I guess." Cooper scratched his head and kicked a rock.
"Yes. He doesn't do it to be cruel or cause destruction, but because he has to. To survive." The others looked at Helen with a combination of confusion and understanding. They didn't want to admit she was right, but they really couldn't argue with the facts.
"He's a Plumbers' kid just like us. He's half alien and half human. I'll bet its down right painful when he has to feed sometimes. To argue with the human values he grew up with and the alien urges he was born with. We've all had the same problems, isn't that right?"
Manny, Pierce, Cooper and Alan all nodded and sighed. She was right. Why are the girls always right about these things?
"Okay, so you're right." said Pierce. "Does it change anything? He's harmed innocent people and friends of ours. What do we do if he comes back?"
Helen went silent and sat down. She hadn't thought of that yet.
"Well?" Max asked.
"Well what?" Moonie said back, not even looking at him.
"Would you just come out and ask it, please? The tensions about to kill me." Moonie sat down the bowl of warm water she was holding on the nightstand. Max lay on the bed, having woke up from his fainting spell not that long ago.
"Who was she? And why didn't you ever tell me?" Moonie asked slowly, trying not to let the anger she was feeling seep into her voice. Max sat up and took her hand in his.
"Would it make you less angry if I told you I honestly don't know?" Moonie squeezed his hand, trying to pit her logic against her built in jealousy.
"I believe you, sweetie. I really do. I'm sorry that I over react about these things." Moonie started to cry and Max put his arms around her.
"What are you going to do about him?" Moonie asked while they held eachother. Max was hoping to avoid thinking about that. Letting Moonie go, Max sulked back and shock his head.
"I don't know. I mean, what can I do?" If Darkstar really was his son, then Max had to help the boy. But there was the fact that he was dangerous to consider. He could save a life, but risk dozens more by doing so.
"Lets think about this for a bit. You don't know just how it is that Darkstar is you child? You cant recall an incident or anything that may have caused this?" Moonie asked.
"No, nothing. It had to have happened the hundreds of times I was unconscious in the infirmity. My DNA could have been sampled, hair and tissue could have been taken. There are dozens of things that could have happened." Max ran his hands through his hair, trying to think. Moonie put her hand under Maxs chin and raised his head to look into her eyes.
"You do know what happened." she said, thought it wasn't in a harsh or judgmental tone. "You've forgotten. but you did know. Let me try something, hun."
Moonie placed her hands on Maxs head and pressed their brows together. Their minds one, the Moon Witch searched the ex-Plumbers mind for the answers he had forgotten...
The man sat quietly at his table, sipping his champagne. Though he was to depressed to taste it. Max was still reeling from the fact that he just found out his wife of 20 years was an alien and that she ditched him to go back to her home world. He thought he was a smart enough man to realize his wife was an energy being, but no. No, he was just as oblivious as everyone thought he was.
Damnit, Verdona. Why?
"I'm sorry, is this seat taken?" came a voice from behind him. Turning, Max layed his eyes on a golden haired beauty. In his half drunken state, he couldn't stop his eyes from roaming and taking in her ripe, young form.
"No, have a seat." Max managed to say. He stood up and pulled out a seat for the young woman.
The entire conversation was lost on Max. He did respond and speak whenever he could make himself pay attention to her words. But he couldn't get his mind off how beautiful this woman was. He wanted to touch her, to kiss her. To know her in the worst way. She layed her hand on his and he knew it was going to happen.
It was a flash of hormones and sweat. Of pure passion and need. In the garden he was on his back and she claimed him over and over again. And he wanted it, relished it. It took the pain away. The pain of loneliness. And before he knew it, it was over.
Exhausted, he slipped into unconsciousness. The scent of that fair haired woman was still heavy in the air.
Max broke the connection with a loud gasp. The memories that came back to him almost hurt him physically. Moonie said nothing, just sat there with her hands on Maxs shoulders, trying to be supportive of her love when he needed her to be.
"I guess there's no choice..." Max said. Standing up, he threw on his coat and made his way downstairs. Moonie followed after him.
"Where are you going?"
"I've got to find him. To set things right." Max grabbed his hat and a few blasters from the closet before reaching the door. But the he felt Moonies arms encircle his waist from behind.
"Max, please don't do this. I know you feel like its your fault that Darkstar is what he is, but it isn't. You don't have to go one some crazy crusade to put things right all the time. Please, just stay..." she pleaded. Max didn't look back at her as he opened the door and left.
"I'm sorry, kitten." was all Max could say as he walked down the porch steps and out into the woods.
Moonie was trying her best not to fall to her knees and cry. Damn you, Max. Why do you have to be such a goddamn hero? From behind her, Simon lay a hand on her shoulder for comfort.
"Would you love him as much if he wasn't?" he said calmly. Moonie had to admit, he was right.
Before anything else could be said, an explosion rocked the house. Almost half of the living room was destroyed. Simon lept in front of his mistress to shield her, and was knocked out for the effort. Out of the smoke and destruction came Michael Morningstar, without a shred of pretence or politeness.
"I'm sorry, Mrs. Tennyson. Is this a bad time?"
Dang... that felt like it took forever to write. :XD: I'm very proud of the conversation between the Plumber kids. :D And I think I've finally found the theme of this story: A persons own nature and how they deal with it.
I iz smart. ;p
Aww...Mike is using up so much energy venting. Seems he didn't listen to Alessa very well, did he?
YAY! Scene from The Cuckoo reference. X3
I also loved the Plumber kids and their talk in this...they're actually trying to figure this out.
Darn it all! Poor Mike! He has the worst timing ever XD
